La producción del Bf 109 K-6 debía comenzar en enero de 1945, con una producción prevista de 3.570 aparatos (2.070 de Erla y 1.500 de WNF). Según el informe de la sede del OKL (Hauptausschusses) del 31 de octubre de 1944, se planeó producir K-4 y K-6 en una proporción de dos a uno. Pero la producción en masa de la modificación Bf 109 K-6 comenzó así.

El único K-6 fabricado fue probado en Rechlin, en el otoño de 1944. El Messerschmitt Bf 109 K-6 estaba equipado con dos cañones MK 108 adicionales en las alas. Cada uno de ellos fue montado dentro del ala y no suspendido en una góndola (como anteriormente el MG 151/20). La empresa Butschowitz de Brno recibió un pedido para el suministro de 4.000 pares de alas nuevas para el verano de 1945. El peso máximo del K-6 al despegue era de 3.592 Kg y alcanzaba una velocidad de 708 Km/h a 6.000 metros.

Production of the Bf.109 K-6 was to begin in January 1945, with a planned production of 3,570 aircraft (2,070 from Erla and 1,500 from WNF). According to the report from the headquarters of the OKL (Hauptausschusses) of October 31, 1944, it was planned to produce K-4 and K-6 in a ratio of two to one. But the mass production of the Bf 109 K-6 modification began just like that.

The only K-6 manufactured was tested at Rechlin, in the autumn of 1944. The Messerschmitt Bf 109 K-6 was equipped with two additional MK 108 cannons in the wings. Each of them was mounted inside the wing and not suspended in a nacelle (as previously the MG 151/20). The Butschowitz company in Brno received an order for the supply of 4,000 pairs of new wings for the summer of 1945. The maximum takeoff weight of the K-6 was 3,592 kg and it reached a speed of 708 km/h at 6,000 meters.
