HMS Untamed

During this period he served as white, representing being a German U-Boot. Everything was normal until the second day of the maneuvers when the yacht Shemara gunship launched some depth charges against him. At the end we tried to contact HMS Untamed but received no reply. The Shemara located the submarine with sonar checking that their engines were still running. It was not long before more ships to join the rescue maneuvers when HMS Thrasher arrived but three hours after the first contact engine noise ceased. Bad weather prevented the divers inspected the submarine until 1 June and when I finally found that the outside could do no damage to its hull. On July 5 was refloated and could verify the cause of sinking, it was flooded by a gate valve. The 31 men of his crew died in the accident.

After his rescue and repair period returned to the inventory of the Royal Navy under the name of HMS Vitality in July 1944. With its new name had no incidents being sold for scrap on 13 February 1946.

Ladungsleger I

Ladungsleger I auf PzKpfw I Ausf B
