Serie Potez 631
La serie del Potez 631 surgió originalmente para satisfacer un requerimiento del Ministerio del Aire francés en el que se solicitaba un caza multiplaza ligero para varios propósitos. Estos eran, para el control de combate (triplaza, C3), intercepción diurna (biplaza, C2) y combate nocturno (biplaza, CN2). Finalmente, el prototipo voló por primera vez el 25 de abril de 1936.
El aparato era totalmente de metal, monoplano y con tren de aterrizaje retráctil. Se completaron 10 prototipos antes de iniciar su producción en serie en 1937 para probar diversas plantas motrices; dos Hispano-Suiza 14 de 432kW para el 630 y dos Gnome-Rhone Marte para el 631. El Potez 633 B2 fue destinado al bombardeo ligero con un morro parcialmente acristalado y un lote de 40 aparatos fue vendido a Rumania y otros a Grecia aunque solo llegaron a Rumania 21 de ellos. Para el reconocimiento fue destinado el Potez 631 A3, equipado con tres plazas con una góndola ventral para el observador y del que se construyeron 60 aparatos. La versión de producción final fue el Potez 63-11, con un morro ampliamente rediseñado, totalmente acristalado y nueva cubierta para la tripulación. De este modelo se completaron 702 aparatos.
Los Potez sirvieron en los Groupes de caza tanto diurna como nocturna junto con aparatos monomotores desde el estallido de la contienda. Su armamento se componía de dos ametralladoras en tiro de caza y una en el puesto trasero de 7´7 mm. Los Potez 637 equiparon 5 Groupes de reconocimiento durante la batalla de Francia y sufrieron muchas pérdidas por la Jagdwaffe alemana. En noviembre de 1939 se entregó un lote de 40 Potez 63-11 a un total de 13 Groupes de observación para mayo de 1940.

The Potez 631 series came originally to meet a requirement of the French Air Ministry which called for a fighter multiplaza light for various purposes. These were, for the combat control (seater, C3), interception day (two-seater, C2) and night fighting (two-seater, CN2). Finally, the prototype first flew on April 25, 1936.
The aircraft was all metal, monoplane with retractable landing gear. 10 prototypes were completed before starting mass production in 1937 to test various powerplants, two Hispano-Suiza 14, 630 and 432kW for two Gnome-Rhone Mars for 631. The Potez 633 B2 bombing was intended to light a partially glazed nose and a batch of 40 aircraft was sold to Romania and Greece while others arrived in Romania only 21 of them. For the award was for the Potez 631 A3, equipped with three-seater with a ventral gondola to the observer and 60 aircraft were built. The final production version was the Potez 63-11, with an extensively redesigned nose, fully glazed and new cover for the crew. This model is completed 702 units.
The Potez Groupes served in the hunting day and night along with single-engine devices since the outbreak of the war. Its armament consisted of two machine guns in hunting and shooting in the back as 7'7 mm. The Potez 637 5 Groupes equipped reconnaissance during the Battle of France and suffered heavy losses from German Jagdwaffe. In November 1939 he delivered a batch of 40 Potez 63-11 to a total of 13 observation Groupes by May 1940.
