Aeródromos de la IIGM: Motulalo

Aeródromo de Motulalo

Situado en el lado sureste de Nukufetau, en la isla de Motulalo. Construido por el USN como campo alternativo de Nanumea y Funafuti y para dispersión de los aparatos destinados en la región. Estaba compuesto por dos pistas en X.

Para noviembre de 1943 estuvo operativo sumándose a la batalla por Tarawa. Los japoneses nunca atacaron este aeródromo.

Located on the southeast side of Nukufetau, on the island of Motulalo. Built by USN as alternative field Nanumea and Funafuti and dispersion of apparatus in the region. It was composed of two tracks on X.

November 1943 was operative joining the battle for Tarawa. The Japanese never attacked this airfield.
