PzKpfw IV Ausf H en Siria

La fuente original de la fotografía solo especificaba que se trataba de un PzKpfw IV Ausf H y que la fotografía fue tomada en Siria en el 2006, siendo uno de los carros de este tipo que Siria empleó durante la Guerra de los Seis días. El vehículo ha perdido su torre pero al menos el cañón lo conserva dentro de lo que fue la cámara de combate. Parece que fue, presumiblemente, objeto de una explosión interna ya que el cañón (y puede que parte de la torre) se encuentran en su interior ya que ha perdido el techo de la mencionada cámara. El vehículo está oxidado y en muchas partes muestra la pintura roja anti-óxido aplicada de fábrica.

El tren de rodaje sin embargo se encuentra en perfecto estado conservando todas sus piezas. Por lo que parece perdió las orugas del lado derecho aunque podría estar no visibles en la fotografía al haberse desprendido. Sería una muy buena adquisición para cualquier museo e incluso sería posible su restauración a nivel de rodaje.

The original source of the photo only specified that it was a PzKpfw IV Ausf H and the photograph was taken in Syria in 2006, being one of the cars of this type that Syria used during the Six Day War.. The vehicle has lost its tower but at least it keeps the barrel in what was the fighting compartment. It seems that was presumably an object of internal explosion and that the barrel (and may be part of the tower) are in its interior and which has lost the roof of said chamber. The vehicle is rusted and in many parts shows the anti-rust red paint applied at the factory.

The chassis however is in excellent condition retaining all its parts. So it seems lost on the right tracks but may be not visible in the photograph to have fallen off. It would be a great addition to any museum and even be possible to restore a level of shooting.
